Southern California stewards have fined owner, breeder, and bloodstock agent Jason Hall $10,000 and suspended his California licenses 30 days for conduct detrimental to racing, ruling he falsified information submitted to The Jockey Club as to the correct foaling locations of three horses he co-bred.

Stewards sanctioned him for inaccurate foaling information related to the horses Really Big News , Winning Big and Kal Barg, causing Really Big News and Winning Big to be registered as California-bred horses. The three horses are currently listed in Equibase as Kentucky-breds, though Really Big News and Winning Big are by a California stallion in Mr. Big  . Kal Barg is by Mark Valeski , a sire relocated from Kentucky to Arkansas in 2020.

Sausalito Partners' Really Big News is a 5-year-old with a 1-4-2 record in 14 starts with earnings of $109,640 for trainer George Papaprodromou. His sole victory came in a 2022 race for California-bred or California-sired maidens, according to an Equibase chart.

Winning Big and Kal Barg are unraced.

The stewards ruling, issued July 9, states that Hall must make restitution to California Thoroughbred Breeders Association for breeders awards totaling $5,788.76 by Aug. 8. His suspension is to run July 15 - Aug. 13.
