Horse Racing Radio Network, the official radio home of the 2015 Triple Crown, will return to Belmont Park for the ninth consecutive year with more than 13 hours of live Belmont Stakes (gr. I) on-site programming beginning June 3.
The coverage culminates with American Pharoah's bid to sweep the Triple Crown in the 147th Belmont Stakes June 6.
HRRN's Belmont week coverage begins with three consecutive "Triple Crown Countdown" shows hosted live from Belmont Park on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings, June 3-5. The shows can be heard each day from 8-10 a.m. EDT on HRRN affiliates across the country with live streaming provided on the HRRN website.
In addition, SiriusXM will air the "Triple Crown Countdown" shows on taped delay from noon-2 p.m. on Sirius 220/XM 206 with a podcast of each show made available on the HRRN site and under Horse Racing Radio Network on iTunes.
On Saturday, HRRN kicks off a full slate of Belmont day coverage with a special Belmont Stakes edition of weekly talk show "The Equine Forum" from 8-10 a.m. followed by 5 1/2 hours of live race coverage beginning at 2 p.m. The network's race coverage includes the Belmont undercard program along with exclusive coverage of the Belmont Stakes in conjunction with NBC Sports and Westwood One.
All Saturday programming can be heard throughout North America on Sirius 92/XM 92 as well as on HRRN affiliates across the country. A complete list of affiliates along with live streaming of all programming can be found on the HRRN site.
HRRN's Mike Penna will anchor the coverage along with analysts Jude Feld, Kurt Becker, Anthony Stabile, and Ellis Starr. Sean Clancy and Jeff Bloom will provide trackside reports and interviews with NBC, and New York Racing Association announcer Larry Collmus with provide the live race calls. Lee Dellapina and Shawn Seay will produce.
