Well, ladies and gents, we made it. Triple Crown fever is in full swing. If you're lucky enough to be making the trip to New York to witness the Belmont Stakes and the spectacle that is a bid for the Triple Crown, odds are you will not be spending all your time at the track. So, here are a few suggestions for things to do around town for your stay!
ABR Belmont Stakes Kickoff Party
Come out and support two great horse racing charities--Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and Thoroughbred Retirement Fund—while having a blast with your hosts, our very own Dan Tordjman and Victoria Garofalo. The event starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday (June 4) at 121 Fulton Street Bar and Grill. Industry personalities will be in attendance, along with longtime and new racing fans. Our fantastic partner Ninety North Racing has sponsored the outing and your ticket includes a light appetizer and drink. Can you think of a better way to get ready for some racing? Didn't think so. Get your tickets here.

Yankees Game
The Yankees have a home stand throughout the weekend, as they host the Los Angeles Angels. Friday night's game would be the perfect way to get in "sports fan mode." Get a few cold ones and watch some ball players who have salaries comparable to the price of a top Thoroughbred!
Broadway Show
If you're in town throughout the week, there's no better way to score a deal on a hot Broadway ticket than via a last minute weeknight show. That's when prices will be more reasonable. The options are seemingly boundless, but sure bets are staples like Les Miserables, Chicago, and The Lion King. Plenty of smaller, indie theaters offer great performances for the budget conscious in a more intimate setting.

Dine in a Deli
Anytime I'm in the Big Apple, I make it a point to hog out at Katz's Delicatessen. If corned beef and pastrami piled high on rye and matzo ball soup with a massive dill pickle on the side gets your mouth watering, then this is the place for you.
Stroll Central Park
Once you've scarfed down a large Jewish lunch, it's time to work off those calories. Belmont Stakes day is sure to be a mad house, so go get lost in the "nature" of the expansive Central Park to unwind before the madness starts.
