The Horseracing Integrity and Welfare Unit has posted updated banned substance findings on its website, with three trainers not previously reported by BloodHorse facing alleged violations that have not yet been adjudicated.

Owner/trainer Bruno Tessore is accused of a violation of rule 3212, presence of a banned substance and/or its metabolites or markers, related to the horse Tenerbis, for the banned substance altrenogest. The date of the alleged violation is listed as July 18 on the HIWU website, though the horse last raced June 11 at Belmont Park, finishing second in a starter allowance. The horse last breezed July 20 at Monmouth Park.

Trainers Jim Lewis and Ramon Rechy also face violations of rule 3212, the former for clenbuterol with the horse Hughie's Holiday and the latter for methamphetamine with the horse Night Livin , according to HIWU online records. Hughie's Holiday raced most recently at Ruidoso Downs, Night Livin at Horseshoe Indianapolis.

Rechy is listed as having an active provisional suspension, while Tessore's provisional suspension is noted as postponed. There is no notation of active or postponed next to Lewis' provisional suspension.

In updated rules from HIWU announced late last month, some provisional suspensions are postponed until findings from a B sample, otherwise known as a split sample, have been returned. Trainers with multiple banned substance violations are not eligible, and initial discoveries of certain banned substances can also merit immediate suspensions.
