All-sources pari-mutuel handle on the 13-race Belmont Stakes (gr. I) program June 6 totaled $134,839,391, down about 10.2% from last year's Belmont day program, which had the same number of races.

Last year, when a Triple Crown also was on the line, total wagering on the 13-race card was more than $150 million, which is the all-time one-day handle record for Belmont Park.

The New York Racing Association said on-track wagering this year totaled $16.8 million, the second-highest at Belmont behind last year's record of $19 million.

Total handle on the $1.5 million Belmont Stakes (gr. I), won by American Pharoah, who captured this year's Triple Crown, was the second-highest in history at $81,681,147, NYRA said. More than $6.6 million was wagered at Belmont Park on the race.

Last year's on-track attendance was reported at more than 102,000. This year NYRA capped attendance at 90,000 based on the number of tickets sold.
