The LNJ Foxwoods and MSK Racing Ventures-owned Treason heads into Saturday's 1 1/16-mile Durham Cup (G3) with his eye on adding another graded win to his tally. The 5-year-old son of Constitution , while lightly raced, has not been off the board this year in stakes company exclusively at Woodbine.
Making his 2023 debut in June, he smashed the Eclipse Stakes (G2) over 1 1/16-mile and came back one month later to run second by one length in the Dominion Day Stakes (G3). In his last start, he ran second by a neck to fellow Durham Cup competitor War Bomber in the one-mile King Edward Stakes Aug. 19 over the turf course.
Rabbah Bloodstock's multiple group/graded winning son of Shamradal, Algiers ; Kentucky Cup Classic Stakes winner Wolfie's Dynaghost ; Ontario-bred Artie's Storm , second runner up in the Durham Cup last year; Josie Carroll's Treason; Novo Sol , grade 1 placed in his native Brazil and twice grade 2 placed here in the states; Bruno Schickedanz's recent King Edward Stakes (G2T) victor War Bomber; Chiefswood Stables home-bred War Court ; winner U S Army Corps for Jason Marrocco; and Avoman , a stakes winner on the Woodbine oval.
