A 2-year-old son of Good Magic , Muth rated comfortably in fourth under jockey Juan Hernandez behind sizzling early fractions before angling out turning for home, and engaged the frontrunning Wine Me Up at the quarter pole. The pair sparred briefly down the lane but it was all Muth at the finish a clear winner in a final time of 1:42.45.
An overwhelming 1-2 favorite, Muth ($2.80) earned his first graded win and punched his ticket to the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) by virtue of landing the Breeders' Cup Challenge: Win and You're In race.
Muth topped the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company March Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training earlier this year, dropping the hammer for $2 million to Zedan Racing Stables.
Wine Me Up held on for second over East Coast shipper Be You .
