Classic-winning trainer Graham Motion picked up the 2,000th victory of his training career Tuesday, June 9 when Rachel Wall overwhelmed a short field to win the seventh race at Delaware Park .

Facing just two other rivals in the one-mile and 70-yard allowance race for fillies and mares, The Buttonwood Group's Rachel Wall drew off in the stretch to post a 10-length score under jockey Julian Pimentel.

"This is very gratifying, not only for me but for everyone who has been a part of this team," Motion said after Tuesday's milestone win. "We have some people who have been working with us from the start. I have been lucky to have very loyal longtime owners behind me and I am blessed to have the support of my family. This milestone is a reflection of all of those people."

Motion saddled Animal Kingdom   to victory in two of the biggest races in the world, the colt taking the 2011 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) and the 2013 Dubai World Cup Sponsored by Emirates Airline (UAE-I).

Horses trained by Motion have won three Breeders' Cup World Championships races: Main Sequence in the 2014 Longines Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. I), Shared Account in the 2010 Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (gr. I), and Better Talk Now in the 2004 John Deere Breeders' Cup Turf.

At Delaware, Motion has won more than 30 stakes, including five renewals of the Robert G. Dick Memorial Handicaps (gr. III), five John Rooney Memorials, and two Delaware Oaks (gr. II).

"I think it is fitting the win came at Delaware Park since a lot of my accomplishments early in my career were at Delaware and Maryland," Motion said. "Hopefully, we will enjoy many more."
