Catalog for Keeneland November HORA Sale Now Online

Keeneland has cataloged 277 horses for the November Horses of Racing Age Sale to be held Nov. 17, the day after the conclusion of the November Breeding Stock Sale. The sale will start at noon ET to enable trainers and racing entities to complete their morning activities.

The catalog for the single-session auction of racehorses, which is now online at Keeneland.com, features Daily Racing Form and Equibase past performances along with Thoro-Graph and Ragozin sheets, race replays, and more. 

The catalog comprises 66 2-year-olds, 126 3-year-olds, and 85 horses aged 4 and older and includes progeny of many of the world's most sought-after stallions such as Arrogate, Candy Ride  , Constitution  , Curlin  , Good Magic  , Gun Runner  , Into Mischief  , Justify  , Munnings  , Not This Time  , Quality Road  , Tapit  , and Uncle Mo  . Influential international sires, including Dark Angel , Dubawi , Galileo, Invincible Spirit , Kingman , Lope de Vega , Siyouni , Wootton Bassett , and Zoustar  also are represented. 

"We were very pleased with last year's November Horses of Racing Age Sale, which marked the first time Keeneland has featured racehorses in a stand-alone auction and was topped by a $1 million colt," Keeneland director of sales operations Cormac Breathnach said. "This is a perfect time of year for a racehorse sale as it allows people to add racehorses to their barns in preparation for the winter racing season."

A print catalog for the sale with Equibase past performances for the entrants will be available for pickup at Keeneland by Oct. 30. Click here for past performances and other information to assist with pre-sale shortlisting.

Last year's November Horses of Racing Age Sale produced grade 2 winner Value Engineering , grade 3 winner Palazzi , and stakes winners Dean's List , Dude N Colorado , Everso Mischievous , Harlan Estate , Join the Dance , and Takntothecleaners .

Last year's sale saw 170 horses of the 201 through the ring change hands for a gross of $11,547,500, suitable for a $67,926 average and a median of $35,000. An RNA rate of 15.4% represents the 31 individuals who failed to attain their reserve. 

Highgate Sales offered the 2-year-old unraced Into Mischief colt, now named Extortion. Agent Mick Wallace for Gandharvi Racing fended off competition to acquire him for $1 million, topping the single session.
