DM Racing Ventures buys Queen's Plate winner Moira (Hip 156) for $3 million at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale
Canadian Horse of the Year and recent Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1T) third-place getter Moira commanded $3 million to DM Racing Ventures at the Nov. 7 Fasig-Tipton November Sale.
Moira, consigned as Hip 156 by Hill 'n' Dale at Xalapa, agent, is a 4-year-old daughter of Ghostzapper . The Ontario-bred was victorious over males in last year's Queen's Plate and sports a bankroll of $1,168,147.
The second mare to break the million-dollar ceiling Tuesday evening, she was sold as a racing/broodmare prospect.
