John Stewart continued his shopping spree Nov. 7 at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale, dishing out $3 million to land Queen Caroline , the dam of 2022 champion 2-year-old Forte .
Consigned by Bluegrass Services, an agent for South Gate Farm, Queen Caroline (Hip 171) is a 10-year-old daughter of Blame . All six of her foals to race have been winners but Forte is her most successful offspring to date. Forte captured four grade 1 races, including this year's Florida Derby (G1).
Stewart also acquired grade 1 winner Pizza Bianca (Fastneck Rock) in foal to Into Mischief for $3 million. Pizza Bianca was offered as Hip 168 from ELiTE, agent.
Bloodstock agent Gavin O'Conner signed the ticket on both mares for Stewart.
