Pleasant Acres Stallions is pleased to announce the arrival of Bodexpress , who will stand in Florida for the 2024 breeding season for a $3,500 fee. The 7-year-old son of Bodemeister out of the City Zip mare Pied A Terre entered stud at Barton Thoroughbreds in California in 2021 with a fee of $5,000.
"We are excited about the arrival of Bodexpress to our stallion barn," said Christine Jones, Pleasant Acres Stallion director of stallion services. "It's always impressive when we can bring a grade 1 winner into the Florida breeding program."
The Gustavo Delgado-trained Bodexpress won the 2020 Clark Stakes (G1) in his final start. He retired with a 4-4-3 record in 17 starts and earnings of $694,600.
Bodexpress won or placed in five stakes, four graded. In the 2019 Florida Derby (G1), he was runner-up to Maximum Security and finished in front of grade 1 winner Code of Honor . Code of Honor was among the opponents he defeated in the 2020 Clark.
Bodemeister has sired two champions, 12 graded black-type winners, 28 stakes winners, and 27 black-type placed runners. He now stands in Turkey.
Pied a Terra is a half sister to graded stakes winner and millionaire Stormy Lord (Stormy Atlantic ) and stakes winner Incredicat (Discreet Cat ).
Bodexpress joins a stallion roster at Pleasant Acres Stallions near Ocala that includes Amira's Prince , Chess Chief , Curlin's Honor , Gone Astray , Gunnevera , Leinster , Magic On Tap , Neolithic , No Never No More , and Sweetontheladies .
