She Can't Sing Continues Lothenbach Legacy in Chilukki

She Can't Sing  will carry on the racing legacy of late owner/breed Bob Lothenbach when she attempts to win the $300,000 Chilukki Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs for the second consecutive year. The one-turn mile race is Nov. 18.

Since her 3 3/4-length win in the race last year, Lothenbach Stables' She Can't Sing is 0-1-2 in five starts this year with earnings of $58,195. She is an 8-1 outsider in Saturday's race behind 5-2 morning-line favorite Hidden Connection , who could scratch to await the Falls City Stakes (G3) Nov. 23 at 1 1/8 miles at Churchill Downs. Hidden Connection was entered in the latter race Nov. 16.

Brian Hernandez Jr., aboard for last year's win aboard She Can't Sing, has a return riding assignment for trainer Chris Block on the 6-year-old daughter of Bernardini. She Can't Sing is 4-2-0 in 11 starts on the Churchill main track.

• Richard Perkins' Oeuvre , a winner of four straight and 13 of 16 in 2022-23.
• CHC and WinStar Farm's Falconet , who, after winning the Aug. 13 Groupie Doll Stakes at Ellis Park, ran seventh in the Sept. 16 Locust Grove Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs. 
• JoAnn and Alex Lieblong's stakes-winning and grade 1-placed comebacker Hot and Sultry .
