2024 Texas 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale Set for April 3

The 2024 Texas Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale will be held April 3, 2024, at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. The breeze show is scheduled for April 1.
"We're excited to follow up our solid 2023 sale with our 2024 edition of our Texas 2-year-old sale," TTA sales director Foster Bridwell said. "We continue to pursue quality offerings that create an attractive marketplace for our buyers in the region."
Gross sales for the 2023 edition of this sale rose 12% to $3,420,000 and the number of six-figure purchased increased to seven, up from four in 2022.
Recent graduates include Strong Promise , a colt by Broken Vow, who Pike Racing sold for $125,000. The colt campaigned by Norman Stables went on to win three stakes, including the Texas Thoroughbred Association Futurity. Strong Promise has won four of five starts and earned $216,400 to date. Blue Squall , a Tapwrit filly and last year's sale topper at $300,000, went on to ran back-to-back seconds at Churchill Downs in her first two starts.
"Our graduates are competing both locally and nationally and show the type of athletes our consignors have offered each year," Bridewell said. "We're already working on putting together another solid catalog for our 2024 sale."
The breeze show will be conducted on the Lone Star Park main track starting at 8 a.m. CT. The sale will begin at 10 a.m. CT.
