Americanrevolution wins the 2021 Cigar Mile Handicap at Aqueduct Racetrack

Rockridge Stud's first-year sire and grade 1 winner Americanrevolution   will be shown during a Dec. 9 open house at Mill Creek Farm near Stillwater, N.Y., southeast of Saratoga Springs. The farm is making the stallion available to breeders in Saratoga Springs for the New York Thoroughbred Breeders' annual holiday party that day.

The 5-year-old New York-bred son of Constitution   is standing for the partnership of Rockridge, WinStar Farm, China Horse Club, Taylor Made Stallions, Mill Creek Farm, and Fortune Farm. Raced by WinStar and China Horse Club, Americanrevolution won the 2021 Cigar Mile Handicap (G1) and placed in the Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes (G1) and Pennsylvania Derby (G1). He will stand next year for $12,500.

The Dec. 9 open house will be held 11 a.m. to noon ET. Mill Creek Farm is at 1019 County Road 70.

Rockridge Stud, near Hudson, N.Y., will hold its annual stallion show and open house Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a full lunch buffet will be served. All stallions will be available for viewing, and drawings for free seasons to each stallion will be held at the show's end. Breeders must be present to win.

Mind Control  , who entered stud at Rockridge this year, has been moved to Irish Hill & Dutchess Views Stallions for the 2024 season. The move was predetermined by cooperative agreement among the New York breeders that brought the three-time grade 1 winner to the Empire State last year. The stallion stands for a partnership of Rockridge, Irish Hill & Dutchess Views Stallions, Waldorf Farm, and Hidden Lake Farm. He is standing for $8,500 next year.
