America's Best Racing Launches Mobile App

Description:

A mobile app created in 2010 by Equibase allowing racing fans to view results of graded stakes, payouts and view video replays has been reissued with the America's Best Racing brand.

America's Best Racing is a fan-oriented web portal created by The Jockey Club as part of a broader initiative to make Thoroughbred racing more appealing to a broader, younger audience.

The free app features replays provided by Roberts Communications, plus full charts and pari-mutuel payoffs of all graded stakes races (including the Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup) for the current year as they occur, as well as every graded stakes race run since 2010.

"This app is the perfect tool to follow graded stakes races from your mobile device as they happen throughout the year and watch the best of racing from the past several years," said Jason Wilson, vice president of business development for The Jockey Club. "We are happy to partner with Equibase to bring this app to a new audience of fans as part of America's Best Racing's fan initiatives."

Hank Zeitlin, Equibase president and chief operating officer, said the app is the ideal way for people to follow The Jockey Club Tour on FOX, which begins Feb. 9 with the Donn Handicap (gr. I) at Gulfstream Park and airs 5-6:30 p.m. on FOX Sports 1.

"As it turns to spring and the racing season gets into full swing this app is a great way to stay up-to-date...and relive each and every race as many times as you would like," Zeitlin said.

The app allows the viewer to see the results of every North American graded stakes since 2010. It can by downloaded through iTunes and a web version is available through americasbestracing.net and through Equibase.
