Racing in the snow in 2017 at Parx Racing
Due to harsh winter weather affecting portions of the United States, the following tracks canceled Thoroughbred racing Jan. 17:

A release from Turfway Park indicated that the Northern Kentucky track still plans to race Wednesday and Jan. 18. The track pre-emptively canceled racing Jan. 19-20 due to a forecast of snow and extreme cold.
Oaklawn Park also canceled racing Friday through Jan. 21.
