Pleasant Acres Stallions' grade 2 winner Magic On Tap sired his first reported foal in New York when the Tiznow daughter Sea Gazer delivered a filly just after midnight Jan. 17.
Scott Miller, who breeds in both Florida and New York, bred the Magic On Tap filly.
"The moment Magic On Tap stepped off the van upon his arrival at Pleasant Acres Stallions we knew he would produce exceptional foals," said Pleasant Acres' director of stallion services Christine Jones. "His very first foal is a filly with good bone, great conformation, and looks to be very racy. She is everything we expected."
Sea Gazer is out of the grade 1-placed, grade 2 winner Seafree (Chief Seattle), making her a half sister to stakes-placed, stakes producer Interest Free (Exchange Rate). Interest Free is the dam of stakes winner Market Analysis , who set a seven-furlong track record of 1:20.91 in the Spangled Jimmy Handicap at Century Mile Racetrack and Casino.
Seafree also is a half sister to 2010 Dwyer Stakes (G2) winner Fly Down (Mineshaft ), who was runner-up in that year's Belmont Stakes (G1) and Travers Stakes (G1).
Magic On Tap, an 8-year-old son of three-time leading sire Tapit out of grade 1 winner Aubby K , raced as a homebred for Summer Wind Equine. He won his debut at 2 by 2 1/2 lengths and went on to win the Triple Bend Stakes (G2) by two lengths at Santa Anita Park, defeating grade 1 winner Eight Rings .
Magic On Tap stands for $5,000.
