Kentucky-Bred Filly is Olympiad's First Foal

First reported foal by Olympiad is out of the Unbridled's Song daughter Sophie Sophie

Grade 1 winner and multi-millionaire Olympiad   sired his first reported foal when the Unbridled's Song daughter Sophie Sophie delivered a filly Jan. 18 at Dr. Oscar Benavides' Montesacro Farm in Kentucky, according to Gainesway.

"I am very happy with my filly. She looks racy and has great conformation as we expected being by Olympiad," said Benavides.

Sophie Sophie is out of the Seattle Song mare Our Seattle Star, making her a half sister to grade 1 winner and stakes producer Seattle Smooth  (Quiet American).

Olympiad, who stands at Gainesway, is a five-time graded stakes winner by Speightstown. He compiled an 8-2-1 record from 13 starts and earned $3,027,560 for trainer Bill Mott and owners Grandview Equine, Cheyenne Stable, and LNJ Foxwoods.

Winner of the 2022 Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes (G1), Olympiad also delivered a track-record performance over 1 1/16 miles in 1:42.01 in the Mineshaft Stakes (G3) at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots. He also won the New Orleans Classic Stakes (G2), Stephen Foster Stakes (G2), and Alysheba Stakes (G2), all in 2022.

Olympiad made his last start in the 2022 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1), where he finished second to eventual Horse of the Year Flightline   and defeated Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Rich Strike  and grade 1 winners Taiba  , Life Is Good  , Hot Rod Charlie , and Happy Saver  . He earned triple-digit Equibase Speed Figures in 11 starts.
