Description:

A pair of impressive recent winners in allowance/optional claiming races, Mark My Style and Freudie Anne, will try to register the first stakes wins of their respective careers June 21 in a pair of New York Stallion Stakes at Belmont Park.

Bran Jam Stable's Mark My Style enters a division of the New York Stallion Stakes for 3-year-olds in the third race Sunday, while the sixth race will feature Marc Detampel, Fergus Galvin, Jayne Doi, Wallace Johnson, and Adrian Mansergy's Freudie Anne in a New York Stallion Stakes for 3-year-old fillies.

Both stakes will be contested at seven furlongs on the Widener turf course.

Mark My Style enters Saturday's stakes off a 1 1/4-length victory in an allowance/optional claiming race for New York-breds May 17 on the Belmont turf. In four turf tries, the son of Noonmark   boasts a victory and third-place finish.

The expected field of seven also includes Mark Valentine's Ex Ex Ex, a son of Read the Footnotes who enters off a maiden win on the Belmont inner course; and Daniel Hayden and Charlton Baker's Possessed, a son of Posse   who won a New York Stallion Stakes on the main track this year at Aqueduct Racetrack.

In Sunday's corresponding race for fillies, cleverly-named Freudie Anne enters off a front-running victory in an allowance/optional claiming race for New York-breds on the Belmont inner course. With the victory, the daughter of Freud   improved to 2-for-2 on grass.

Name bettors could have fun with Sunday's race, as Freudie Anne figures to be challenged by Dreamboat Annie, also a daughter of Freud. Crown Stable, Who Wudda Thunk Racing, and Debora Kinns' Dreamboat Annie enters off a clear victory in a May 24 six-furlong allowance race for New York-breds on the Belmont inner turf. With that win, Dreamboat Annie also improved to two wins in two career turf starts.

The field also includes Winter Park Partners' Amazing Anne, who has placed in her two most recent starts, both allowance-optional claiming races on turf for New York-bred fillies.
