Muir Hut Stables picked up a $700,000 colt by leading sire Into Mischief March 12 during the Ocala Breeders' March Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training.
The bay colt, consigned by Old South Farm as Hip 202, is out of the 2019 Doubledogdare Stakes (G3) winner Electric Forest , by Curlin , and comes from the family of grade 2 winner Forest Music and grade 3 winner Kentuckian .
Trainer Mark Glatt said, "This horse is for Muir Hut Stables. They have put a lot into the game, and I have been trying to get an Into Mischief for them. He will be the first one.
"The owner, like everyone else, is high on Curlin (dam's sire), and this one is a very athletic-looking horse, and he's hopefully made to stay sound, and we will see what happens."
The colt was bred in Kentucky by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings and sold last year to astute pinhooker Hoby Kight for $250,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
The bay juvenile will ship to the West Coast to join Glatt's barn at Santa Anita Park.
