With the Mid-Atlantic region preparing for the worst storm of 2014, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course and Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races have called off live racing for Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 12-13.

Penn Nationial racing secretary David Bailey said live racing is expected to resume Feb. 14 and that the postponed race card scheduled for Feb. 13,will be rescheduled Feb. 15.

The Penn National changes, made after 8-12 inches of snow was forecast for the Grantville, Pa., area, are the 12th and 13th of the year for Penn National. Snow, ice, and sub-freezing temperatures have negatively impacted live racing at the track.

"We want to let horsemen and fans know that we are going to bring back Thursday night's canceled program in its entirety and use it for our live racing program on Saturday," Bailey said.
