The Jockey Club Denies Privileges to Four

The Jockey Club announced one trainer has been denied all privileges of The American Stud Book for 10 years and that three other trainers are denied the same privileges for three years.
All actions became effective Jan. 1, 2014.
The denials of privileges include the right to register foals and the privileges of any registration process for any Thoroughbred. The denials of privileges are pursuant to Rule 19 of the "Principal Rules and Requirements of The American Stud Book."
Anthony C. Agilar will be denied privileges for 10 years for being determined to have twice violated applicable racing authority statutes, rules, or regulations relating to substances that have been classified by the Association of Racing Commissioners International Inc. as Class 1 or Class 2. The violations occurred at Evangeline Downs in 2012.
Agilar's trainer's license was suspended for three years by the Louisiana Racing Commission following a positive for dermorphin May 31, 2012 at Evangeline.
John T. Toscano Jr., Lonnie H. Vaughn, and Daniel J. Werre are being denied privileges for three years each for being determined to have violated applicable racing authority statutes, rules or regulations relating to substances that have been classified by the RCI as Class 1 or Class 2.
Toscano's violation occurred at Belmont Park in 2012, Vaughn's occurred at Ruidoso Downs in 2012, and Werre's violation occurred at Turfway Park in 2012.
