American-bred horses dominate the latest Longines World's Best Racehorse rankings with three of the top four having been bred in the United States. Two of these leaders still train in the U.S.

The rankings reflect results between Jan. 1 and April 7.

National Treasure  and Senor Buscador  share third-place honors with 121 points. The latter finished a distant third in the Dubai World Cup (G1). Meanwhile, National Treasure has not run since fourth in the Saudi Cup (G1) Feb. 24.

Not far off their trail with 120 points is Fierceness , who has punched his ticket to the May 4 Kentucky Derby (G1). He stands atop Byron King's Derby Dozen following his victory in the Florida Derby (G1).

Fresh off his win in the Dubai World Cup, the Kentucky-bred and United Arab Emirates-trained Laurel River  holds the top spot with a sizeable five-point lead. The son of the leading North American sire Into Mischief   has 128 points following an 8 1/2-length triumph at Meydan Racecourse last month.
