In the second episode of 2 Guys and a Classic, Joe Kristufek and Bram Weinstein focus on the Road to the Breeders’ Cup Classic, the results from the Stephen Foster Handicap and the field for this Saturday’s Gold Cup at Santa Anita Park.
The Breeders’ Cup Classic “Win and You’re In” race attracted 11 horses, including Grade 1 winner Hoppertunity and the top three finishers from the Californian Stakes on May 30. The Gold Cup victor also earns an automatic spot in the Oct. 31 Breeders’ Cup Classic at Keeneland, the richest race in America.
The Gold Cup will be televised live on NBC Sports Network with coverage beginning at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 27.
