Laurel Park Cancels Live Racing Feb. 14

Add Laurel Park to the list of tracks that have cancelled racing Friday, Feb. 14, due to a winter storm that hit the Northeast.
Including Thursday, Feb. 13, the cancellation is the fourth in 2014 at the Baltimore, Md., track. The Maryland Jockey Club said Laurel and Pimlico Race Course would both remain open Friday for simulcasting and that the racing office would be open to accept entries for the Monday. Feb. 17, President's Day holiday card.
Previously, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races had announced cancellation of racing Feb. 13-15.
Citing the ongoing frozen condition of its Polytrack surface, Turfway Park in Florence, Ky., previously announced there would be no live racing there Feb. 14-16.
