Could three be a charm for 8-year-old Richard’s Kid, who is trying in this Sunday’s Pacific Classic to be its only three-time winner? Or will impressive Game On Dude, who is training well at Del Mar, continue his five-race winning streak? Or perhaps last year’s winner, Dullahan, who had a rough time of it in Dubai, will come back to form and make painting the paddock lawn jockey in anyone else’s silk colors an unnecessary job.

With other notable entries – Game On Dude, Liaison, Kettle Corn, filly Byrama, Delegation, Endorsement, Farraaj, Hawk’s Eyes, You Know I Know, and Jeranimo - this race features a great mixture of age and experience.

A win in the Pacific Classic is not only an automatic entry into the Breeder’s Cup Classic and a $1-million purse, but also a victory in one of the premier races of the season. The winner will also be honored in perpetuity with an oil portrait that will hang in the Del Mar Clubhouse.
