Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 29 supplemental entries to its Midlantic May 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale May 20-21 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Md.
These entries, which are cataloged as hips 557-585, include 2-year-olds by Bolt d'Oro , Gun Runner , Hard Spun , Into Mischief , Justify , Not This Time , Quality Road , Speightstown , and Tapit .
"These supplemental entries add more quality to an already strong catalog," said Paget Bennett, Fasig-Tipton Midlantic director of sales.
The under tack show will be conducted over three sessions May 14-16, beginning each day at 8 a.m. Each day of the sale begins at 11 a.m.
Last year's sale was topped by a $1 million Arrogate filly named Nuit Magique, who was consigned by Hartley/DeRenzo Thoroughbreds and purchased by international bloodstock agent Kerri Radcliffe. The filly has not started yet.
Also among the top purchases of 2023 is Sabatini , an Uncle Mo filly out of the winning Blame daughter Gabriellestoblame, who Solis/Litt bought for $625,000 from Pick View. Sabatini is now raced by NK Racing and LNJ Foxwoods and being trained by Josie Carroll. The filly broke her maiden and became a stakes winner April 27 in the Star Shoot Stakes at Woodbine.
The Midlantic sale last year sold 375 horses for a gross of $34,795,500. Colts averaged $94,729 and fillies averaged $91,053 a year ago The overall average was $92,788.
