Washington-based stallion Coast Guard picked up his first winner when Kiss My Lulu won her maiden special weight debut June 27 in the third race at Emerald Downs.
Coast Guard, whose first crop of 2-year-olds are on the track this season, stands for $1,000 at El Dorado Farms in Washington. Kiss My Lulu is the first starter for the 10-year-old son of Stormy Atlantic .
Pegasus Too's Kiss My Lulu was guided to a six-length victory in the 4 1/2-furlong test for 2-year-old fillies by Javier Matias. Bred in Washington by Dr. and Mrs. Duane F. Hopp, Kiss My Lulu is out of the Runaway Groom mare Runaway Lulu.
Runaway Lulu has produced eight winners from as many starters, including stakes winners Sweetheart Deal and Sweet Madeline.
