The New York-bred 3-year-old filly entered the 5 1/2-furlong maiden claiming race for her breeder Timothy Burr, who also raced her dam Skippin' Church (Archarcharch). She left the winner's circle as the latest addition to the barn of owner/trainer Katlynn Gutterson.
Burr bought Skippin' Church for $15,000 as a yearling during the 2015 Fasig-Tipton New York-Bred Preferred Yearling Sale from Vinery Sales. She is a half sister to stakes winner and stakes producer Mischief Maker (Cape Town). With trainer Karl Grusmark, she won once and placed seven times out of 14 career starts and banked $33,790.
Skippin' Church has produced three foals, and Miami Twofer is her first winner. Her latest foal is an unnamed 2-year-old gelding by Fog of War and she was bred this year to Jimmy Creed .
Disco Partner is a multiple grade 1-placed, grade 2 winner by Disco Rico, who was bred and raced by Patricia Generazio. He won consecutive editions of both the Jaipur Invitational Stakes (G3T in 2017 and G2T in 2018) and 2017-18 Belmont Turf Sprint Invitational Stakes. He was also third twice in the 2017-18 runnings of Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1T). Racing from 2 to 7, he compiled an 11-6-8 record from 33 starts and earned $1,487,560.
