Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 286 selected yearlings for The July Sale, to be held July 9 at the Newtown Paddocks sales grounds in Lexington. The sale will begin at 10 a.m. ET.

"We look forward to kicking off yearling sales season with another strong group of well-conformed, mature yearlings in July," said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning Jr. "The sale continues to produce remarkable performance numbers that cannot be overlooked by any serious buyer."

According to statistics from BloodHorse MarketWatch, The July Sale is once again a top-ranked major North American yearling sale in a number of performance categories among auctions that sold more than 250 yearlings in 2019-21. The sale ranks first by percentage of stakes winners, stakes horses, and 2-year-old winners sold, and ranks second by percentage of grade 1 winners and graded stakes winners sold (excluding the special Fasig-Tipton September Showcase held during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020), behind only Fasig-Tipton's Saratoga Sale. Graduates from the 2019 and 2021 editions of this sale also include 16% that earned $150,000 or more at the races, again the second-highest percentage to The Saratoga Sale among auctions conducted in 2019 and 2021.

Grade 1-winning July Sale graduates include Carson's Run , Candied , and Geaux Rocket Ride, while additional recent graded stakes winners coming out of this sale include Accidental Hero , Chop Chop , Danse Macabre , Stay Hot , Super Chow , and Three Technique .

As in previous years, this year's catalog includes the Freshman Sire Showcase (Hips 1-88), highlighting the offspring of first-crop yearling sires, including those stallions' Stallion Register pages, courtesy of BloodHorse.

The catalog also features yearlings by top general sires Into Mischief  , Quality Road  , Goldencents  , Practical Joke  , Justify  , Constitution  , Uncle Mo  , Munnings  , and American Pharoah  .

"While much of the focus in July tends to be on the first yearlings of freshman sires, the proven sire representation this year is very strong," noted Browning.

The catalog for The July Sale can be viewed online here.

Nominations are also now open for the July Selected Horses of Racing Age sale, to be held the day before the yearling sale July 8. Fasig-Tipton will accept nominations up until sale time; however, to be included in the catalog's initial release, entries should be finalized by June 14. The form for nominations is available online.

The July Sale catalog may now be viewed online and will be available via the Equineline sales catalog app. Print catalogs will be available by May 31.
