Munnings Filly Leads Final Day of OBS June Under Tack

Hip 1009, a daughter of Munnings   consigned by Hoppel, sped a quarter in :21 June 9 to post the fastest work at the distance at the sixth and final session of the Under Tack Show for the 2024 Ocala Breeders' June 2-Year-Olds and Horses of Racing Age Sale.

The chestnut filly is a half sister to stakes placed Desert Duke  out of stakes winner Desert Duchess  by Hard Spun  . Watch Hip 1009's Under Tack Video Here

• Hip 909, a chestnut colt by Instagrand   consigned by Whitman Sales, is out of Mews, by Kantharos  , a half sister to graded stakes placed Valletta .

A pair of youngsters breezed quarters in :21 2/5.

• Hip 981, a bay colt by Bernardini consigned by Sennebec South Farm, is out of Parish Poet  by Lope de Vega , from the family of grade 1 stakes placed Tangle .
• Hip 1005, a bay colt by Dialed In   consigned by Ordonez Thoroughbreds, is out of Conquest Valkyrie , by Giant's Causeway, a daughter of stakes winner Quite a Ruckus .

Four horses shared honors for the fastest eighth, stopping the timer in :9 4/5.

• Hip 906, consigned by Harris Training Center, is a bay colt by Honest Mischief   out of Memories of Mom , by Include , from the family of graded stakes winner Sha Tha .
• Hip 945, a bay colt by Practical Joke   consigned by Top Line Sales, is out of Mo's Song , by Uncle Mo  , a half sister to stakes winner She's My Gem .
• Hip 993, a bay colt by Tapiture   consigned by Navas Equine, is out of Union Queen , by Union Rags  , from the family of Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Always Dreaming  .
• Hip 996, consigned by Old South Farm, is a bay filly by Complexity   out of Will Ye Go Lassie , by Trappe Shot , a half sister to graded stakes winner Venus Valentine .

The June Sale is set for June 12-14. All sessions begin at 10:00 a.m. ET streamed live on the OBS website at obssales.com, as well as on BloodHorse.

Hips 1-350 will sell on Wednesday and Hips 351-700 on Thursday. On Friday, Hips 701-1027 and 1101-1115 will be offered for sale.
