It was another week of change in the top 10 of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association's Top Thoroughbred Poll released June 25.
Alysheba Stakes (G2) winner First Mission climbed one spot to No. 3, swapping places with Idiomatic , who has two first-place votes—one more than First Mission. The Street Sense colt gained three votes (161) while Idiomatic lost 10 votes.
Meanwhile, Cogburn , who was ranked No. 9 last week, dropped out of the top 10. The Chosen Vron , No. 10 a week ago, moved up one spot. Jumping into the frame is Didia , winner of her first grade 1—the New York Stakes (G1T)—who moves into the 10th spot. Didia, winner of two group 1 races in Argentina, is one of four 6-year-olds in the top 10 this week. Senor Buscador , Master of The Seas , and The Chosen Vron are the others.
National Treasure remains atop the rankings, maintaining his 290-point total and 25 first-place votes. The Quality Road colt has had an impressive 4-year-old campaign with wins in the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes (G1) and the Metropolitan Handicap (G1) along with a fourth in the Saudi Cup (G1).
Also holding steady in the rankings are Senor Buscador (No. 2); Adare Manor (No. 5); Master of The Seas, with one first-place vote (No. 6); Thorpedo Anna (No. 7); and Randomized (No. 8).
