Shareholder's Dam Being Offered on Fasig-Tipton Digital

Bidding is now open for the "Cloudy Dancer Flash Sale," a one-horse online auction on Fasig-Tipton Digital. Cloudy Dancer  is the dam of Shareholder , winner of Royal Ascot's Norfolk Stakes (G2) June 20 for Wathnan Racing and trainer Karl Burke.

Bidding on Cloudy Dancer will close June 28 at 2 p.m. ET.

A 2-year-old colt by Not This Time  , Shareholder is undefeated in two starts. He won his debut June 8 at Beverley. He was purchased by agent Richard Brown for Wathnan Racing for €460,000 (US$492,542, €1=$1.07) at the Arqana Breeze-Up Sale in May.

A possible next target for Shareholder is the Prix Morny (G1) at Deauville, Burke said immediately following the Norfolk.

Shareholder earned a guaranteed berth in the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1T) via the Breeders' Cup Challenge Series.

The 8-year-old Cloudy Dancer is a daughter of prominent European sire Invincible Spirit . Her stakes-winning dam, Ronaldsay , has also produced Gale Force Ten , winner of the 2013 Jersey Stakes (G3) and second in the 2013 Irish Two Thousand Guineas (G1), as well as stakes winner Rousay . Her immediate family includes 1996 Irish champion 2-year-old filly Bianca Nera as well as graded/group stakes winners Pickle, Beauly , and Missed the Cut .

"This is a unique opportunity to purchase a young mare that is the dam of a recent Royal Ascot group stakes-winning 2-year-old," said Leif Aaron, Fasig-Tipton's director of digital sales. "She was not bred this year, so she is ready to be bred early on Southern Hemisphere time or at the start of the 2025 breeding season in the Northern Hemisphere."

Shareholder is just the second foal from Cloudy Dancer, who is consigned by Frankfort Park Farm, agent for Skyfall Thoroughbreds.
