Fresh off of his Stephen Foster Stakes (G1) triumph June 29, Kingsbarns  skyrockets into the top 5 of the latest National Thoroughbred Racing Association's Top Thoroughbred poll July 2.

Crossing the wire 2 1/2 lengths ahead of Pyrenees  in the 1 1/8-mile race on the dirt at Churchill Downs gave the son of Uncle Mo   his first grade 1 victory.

A contestant in the 2023 Kentucky Derby (G1), Kingsbarns experienced a meteoric rise in the poll. A week ago, the colt wasn't among the top 46 Thoroughbreds receiving votes; after Saturday's win he's fourth overall with 148 points, one more than Adare Manor

He's now primed to move even higher in the poll later this year as the Stephen Foster earned him an automatic spot in the Nov. 2 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) at Del Mar.

National Treasure  extended his grasp on the poll's top spot, adding 11 points for a total of 301.
