Heat Postpones Delaware Oaks Card To July 8

Acting upon the recommendation of the Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission veterinarians and stewards, Delaware Park has canceled the live racing card scheduled for July 6 due to the excessive heat index forecasted by the National Weather Service to be at or above 105º for the region.
The card scheduled for Saturday, including the $300,000 Delaware Oaks (G3) and three other stakes, will be transferred to July 8.
Live racing is scheduled to resume July 7. First race post time is 12:30 p.m.
