"The Great Race Place" was transformed into "The Great Date Place" this past Friday as Santa Anita Park hosted a "heart racing" Valentine's Day at the races.
Many couples and small groups of friends took advantage of the special Valentine's Day "Couple's Package," which included a three-course lunch, a glass of champagne, one long-stemmed rose, clubhouse admission and valet parking. Both the Turf Terrace and Director's Room Patio were sold out for the event.
The overwhelming response from couples was that they felt that a racetrack is a great destination spot to go for a date or a fun activity with their significant other because there's something appealing for both people.
For new racetrack goers, it's an opportunity to share a unique experience with a special someone and for those seasoned fans it’s a winning exacta between their loved one and the excitement of the races.
