Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 300 entries for its Aug. 11-12 New York-Bred Yearlings Sale, to be held in the Humphrey S. Finney Pavilion in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
The Sunday session will begin at 7 p.m. ET, and the Monday session will begin at noon.
"This sale annually showcases the best of the New York-bred yearling crop," said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning Jr. "The New York-bred program grows stronger every year, and in 2024 over $65 million will be distributed in purse money, incentives, and awards. There has never been a better time to own a New York-bred."
This year's catalog cover features Therapist , winner of last year's United Nations Stakes (G1T). The back cover features 2023 New York-bred champions Dr Ardito , Silver Skillet , Cara's Time , and The Wine Steward , all four of which are sale graduates.
The size of this year's catalog fits in between the editions of 2022, which was a smaller offering, and 2023, which had 300 horses walk through the ring. Last year's sale grossed $20,929,000 from 220 horses sold. The average in 2023 was $95,132, and the median was $75,000. Two horses topped last year's sale at $380,000, while in 2022 the top seller brought $700,000.
The catalog may now be viewed online and will also be available in the Equineline sales catalog app. Print catalog are also now available.
