Dornoch  battled his way to victory July 20 in the Haskell Stakes (G1) at Monmouth Park and was rewarded with a surge up the ranks to join the top 10 in the latest National Thoroughbred Racing Association's Top Thoroughbred poll.

In the weekly poll voted on by national media, Dornoch received 147 points, catapulting him from 17th place to sixth.

The Good Magic   colt, owned by West Paces Racing, R. A. Hill Stable, Belmar Racing and Breeding, Two Eight Racing and Pine Racing Stables, solidified his position as the leading 3-year-old male at this point in the season and is the only colt from the division represented in the top 10.

A few spots ahead of Dornoch is Thorpedo Anna , the leading 3-year-old in the poll. The filly earned three first-place votes and 215 points following her dominant win Saturday in the Coaching Club American Oaks (G1) at Saratoga Race Course, elevating her from seventh to third in the poll.

Champion Idiomatic  was bumped from third to fourth by Thorpedo Anna despite her narrow victory in the Molly Pitcher Stakes (G3) at Monmouth, and Tapit Trice , who returned from an 11-month layoff with a dominant win in the Monmouth Cup (G3), sits just outside the leaderboard in 13th place.
