Fulsome wins the 2021 Matt Winn Stakes at Churchill Downs.

Juddmonte Farms' homebred stallion Fulsome  , a multiple graded stakes-winning millionaire, will shuttle to Haras Matriarca in Chile. The deal was brokered by Matt Bowling of Bowling Bloodstock and J.P. Sullivan of Sullivan Bloodstock.

Fulsome, a 6-year-old son of Into Mischief  , stood his first season this year at Walmac Farm, near Lexington, for an advertised fee of $7,500.

Fulsome is out of the Distorted Humor mare Flourish , a dam of five winners, including graded stakes-placed Mr Darcy  and Rimprotector .

Into Mischief has been the leading general sire in North America for five consecutive years. He is the sire of 21 grade 1 winners, including Authentic  , Goldencents  , Audible  , and Practical Joke  . He is the first stallion ever to sire back-to-back Kentucky Derby (G1) winners in Authentic (2020) and Mandaloun   (2021). Into Mischief is a half brother to four-time Eclipse champion Beholder  and Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1T) winner and stallion Mendelssohn

Fulsome finished second in his debut at 2 before breaking his maiden in his first start at 3. He followed up with wins in the Oaklawn Stakes, Matt Winn Stakes (G3), and Smarty Jones Stakes (G3) later that year. At 4, he won the Oaklawn Mile Stakes (G3) and West Virginia Governor's Stakes (G3) while finishing second in Fayette Stakes (G2) and third in the Clark Stakes (G1). Fulsome retired with a record of 8-2-2 from 17 starts and earnings of $1,244,553.
