Description:

Cozmic One, the first foal out of 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta, and Indian Trail, a full brother to 2010 champion 2-year-old male Uncle Mo  , will square off July 8 in a $75,000 maiden special weight race at Belmont Park.

Cozmic One, owned by Jerry and Ann Moss and trained by John Shirreffs, made his much-heralded debut April 17 at Santa Anita Park. The 3-year-old colt by Bernardini   finished last of six in the one-mile maiden special weight event and most recently has been training at Belmont for his second start.

Indian Trail, a 3-year-old colt by Indian Charlie out of the Arch mare Playa Maya, finished fourth in his career debut June 5 at Belmont. He rallied from eighth early to finish fourth in the seven-furlong maiden special weight event for trainer Todd Pletcher and owners Susan Magnier, Michael Tabor, and Derrick Smith.

Uncle Mo stands at Ashford Stud in Kentucky. His first crop is racing this year.

The maiden race, at 1 1/16 miles around one turn, is the seventh on the program at Belmont with a probable post time of 4:26 p.m. EDT.
