Daisy Devine to Keeneland November Sale

Grade I winner Daisy Devine will be offered for sale at this year's Keeneland November breeding stock sale. Consigned by Eaton Sales as agent for owner James M. Miller, the millionaire daughter of Kafwain will be sold as either a racing or broodmare prospect.
Daisy Devine remains in training with Andrew McKeever, and is being pointed toward Keeneland's Oct. 5 First Lady Stakes (gr. IT) on the turf.
A multiple graded stakes winner on dirt and turf, Daisy Devine won Keeneland's 2012 Jenny Wiley Stakes (gr. IT) and 2011 Pin Oak Valley View Stakes (gr. IIIT) on turf. As a 4-year-old she set a stakes record in the 2012 Cardinal Stakes (gr. IIIT) over the lawn at Churchill Downs and captured the 2011 Fair Grounds Oaks (gr. II) on dirt.
Last year, Daisy Devine had the highest turf female Beyer speed rating of 105 as reported by Daily Racing Form.
Daisy Devine has finished in the money in 16 of 21 starts over a four-year period, winning at distances from 6 furlongs to 1 1/8 miles. Of her 10 career wins, eight were achieved in stakes races.
"She is a top-class mare that ran and won on all surfaces and at all distances," said Eaton Sales' Reiley McDonald, who bred the 5-year-old in Kentucky. "In addition to ability, soundness, and looks, she is a complete outcross of Halo and Blushing Groom (FR), a very unusual commodity in today's broodmares."
Raised in Kentucky by McDonald and purchased by Miller at Keeneland's 2009 September yearling sale, Daisy Devine is the leading money earner by Kafwain, and has a deep female family that includes champion Informed Decision, and grade I stakes winners Banker's Lady and Ecton Park.
"Daisy Devine has a very special connection to Keeneland, and we are delighted to include her in our November sale," said Keeneland vice president of sales Walt Robertson. "She is a unique individual: a grade I stakes winner with a lovely pedigree. She has all the potential to be a top-quality broodmare."
Daisy Devine will be sold in November along with her stakes-winning stablemate, Maude S, a 5-year-old daughter of Jump Start who has earned $243,990.
