OBS Releases October Yearling Sale Catalog

The catalog for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2024 October Yearling Sale is now available online and can be viewed here. The two-day sale is set for Oct. 8-9. Supplemental entries will be accepted until Sept. 21.

There are 535 horses cataloged in two open sessions. The sale begins Oct. 8 with hips 1-266 plus supplements offered for sale. Hips 301-569 plus supplements will be sold Oct. 9. Both sessions will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Supplements will be sold at the conclusion of each session, cataloged in order of the starting letter of the dam's name. Names beginning with Y through L will be added to the end of the first session; names beginning with M through X will be added to the conclusion of second session.  

The sale will be streamed live via the OBS website as well as the Bloodhorse website.

OBS again offers online bidding during the October Sale. Buyers will be able to go to the OBS website and register to gain bidding approval, then access the OBS Bidding Screen with their credentials. For complete information on registration and online bidding, please go to the OBS website.

The refreshed website allows for customized sorting, searching, and filtering capability as well as shortlist creation and access to pedigree updates. A link to step-by-step instructions and video tutorials for using these features is located in the banner of the homepage OBS Website Tutorials.

The iPad version of the catalog can be accessed via the equineline Sales Catalog App. The app allows users to download and view the catalog, receive updates and results, and record notes. It also provides innovative search, sort, and rating capability.

Current information about OBS sales, consignors, and graduates is now also available via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. A link on the homepage directs users to those sites.

Sales results will be available on the OBS website, updated frequently during each session of the sale. In addition, the latest news regarding OBS graduates, sales schedules, nominations, credit requests, travel information, and other news relevant to OBS consignors and customers is also available.
