Las Vegas Trip Among Top Cards 4 Carma Prizes

In support of providing funding for the rehabilitation, retraining and/or retirement of Thoroughbred horses that have raced in California, CARMA will be hosting its charity fundraiser "Cards 4 CARMA" July 18 at the Del Mar Hilton Hotel at 6:30 p.m. PDT.
Attendees of the "Cards 4 CARMA" event will enjoy a Texas hold 'em poker tournament, a casino night, silent auction, and more. This year's grand prize is a two-night stay at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, including dinner for two and tickets to the Cirque du Soleil show "Michael Jackson ONE." The package is provided compliments of Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.
There will be live music performed by The West Coasters Band, a taco fiesta buffet, and a no-host bar. Guests will mix and mingle with industry elite, including racehorse owners, trainers, and jockeys.
Renowned portrait artist Stephen Bennett has donated an original 72" x 48" acrylic on canvas painting of American Pharoah's historic Triple Crown win in 2015. This one-of-a-kind piece will be auctioned off in a special live auction at the beginning of the poker tournament. Also in the live auction is a three day, two night stay at a Park City, Utah condominium.

"The CARMA program has been a proven success in terms of dollars raised, and most importantly, in the tangible results seen at our benefiting farms and facilities where the horses live. CARMA has become a leader in the retirement/adoption community and events like this make our work possible."
Guests who are not playing in the poker tournament can enjoy the festivities—including the live band, food, no-host cocktails, a silent auction, and more—for just $50. Individual poker players enter into the limited Texas hold 'em-style tournament with a $200 donation. Attendees must be at least 21 years of age.
