Uno Emayo First Winner for D' Funnybone

Description:
Rudy Rodriguez and Carl Lizza Racing Stable's Uno Emayo won the first race at Belmont Park July 11 and became the first winner for multiple grade II winner and young New York stallion D' Funnybone  .

D' Funnybone, an 8-year-old son of D'wildcat  , stands at Rockridge Stud in Hudson, N.Y. where he commanded a $2,500 fee during the 2015 breeding season. He has 36 2-year-olds in his first crop.

Trained by Rudy Rodriguez, Uno Emayo bobbled at the start and traveled in third, pocketed for much of the trip. With Javier Castellano guiding him to running room in the lane, the gelding uncoiled a smart rally and was up late for a neck win. Bred by Glasscock Financial Services from the Broken Vow   mare Cinco Emayo, he covered the 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race for New York-breds in 1:06.70.

David Crow bought him for $30,000 at Ocala Breeders' Sale Co. August yearling sale from Hidden Horse Bloodstock.

D' Funnybone, who was produced by the winning Woodman mare Elbow, won five grade II stakes for owner Paul Pompa Jr.: the 2009 Futurity and Saratoga Special Stakes and 2010 Hutcheson, Swale, and Woody Stephens Stakes. Overall, he won six of 15 career starts and earned $686,700 in three seasons.
