Trainer Bob Baffert worked Newgate , Citizen Bull , Gaming , Fort Bragg , Muth , and Non Compliant .
Newgate, most recently third in the Sept. 28 California Crown (G1), earned a bullet when drilling five furlongs in :59 1/5. It was the fastest of 51 works at the distance. Citizen Bull, winner of the American Pharoah (G1), went five furlongs in :59 4/5. Gaming, the Del Mar Futurity (G1) winner, worked six furlongs from the gate in 1:12 2/5.
Fort Bragg, most recently fourth in the Sept. 29 Santa Anita Sprint Championship (G2), worked five furlongs from the gate in :59 4/5. Muth, who was last in the California Crown, also went five furlongs in :59 4/5. Non Compliant, the Oak Leaf (G2) winner, completed her five-furlong drill also in :59 4/5.
Trainer Phil D'Amato worked Gold Phoenix , Hang the Moon , and Motorious , all on the synthetic training track. Grade 1 winner Gold Phoenix, most recently fifth in the Sept. 28 John Henry (G2T), worked five furlongs in 1:00 1/5. Hang the Moon, upset winner of the Rodeo Drive (G2T), clocked four furlongs in :49 2/5. Motorious, winner of the Green Flash (G3T) at Del Mar Aug. 31, fired a bullet when going five furlongs in :59.
Trainer Doug O'Neill worked Mixto , Katonah , and Pali Kitten . Mixto, winner of the Pacific Classic (G1), worked five furlongs from the gate in 1:01 1/5. Katonah, fourth in the California Crown, went five furlongs from the gate in 1:01 2/5. Pali Kitten, winner of the Speakeasy Oct. 5 at Santa Anita, worked three furlongs in :39.
Trainer John Sadler worked Dirt Mile prospect Full Serrano . Runner-up in the Pacific Classic, the South American import earned a bullet when completing six furlongs in 1:11 4/5.
