Delightful Flame Among 10 Added to Keeneland Sale

Keeneland has supplemented 10 horses, including two-time winning juvenile Delightful Flame , to its Horses of Racing Age Sale being held Nov. 14. A total of 221 horses have been cataloged to the single-session auction, which will start at noon ET.

Most horses will be stabled at Keeneland in Barns 18-26 with some horses offered remotely from their training locations.

Additional supplements will be considered until the day of the sale.

Delightful Flame is a 2-year-old daughter of Flameaway   out of 2010 Canadian juvenile champion filly Delightful Mary , by Limehouse. Consigned by Grovendale Sales as agent, she captured a maiden special weight race during the Belmont at the Big A meet by nine lengths then turned in a 1 1/2-length victory in an allowance race at Ellis Park for owner/breeder John Oxley and trainer Wesley Ward. Delightful Flame is from the immediate family of grade 1 winner The Chosen Vron , and grade 1-placed, grade 2 winner Delightful Kiss , who is a track record-setting Kissin Kris half brother to Delightful Mary.

Also supplemented are these winners:

• Eglise , a 3-year-old colt by Frosted   who won an Oct. 5 maiden special weight race at Keeneland by a length. Out of grade 2 winner Ahh Chocolate , by Candy Ride  , and from the family of grade 3 winners Rahystrada and Lone Star Sky, he is consigned by Highgate Sales as agent.
• Hopper , a 5-year-old son of Declaration of War , won the 2022 Affirmed Stakes (G3) by 5 1/4 lengths at Santa Anita Park at 3, and then at 4 captured the Oaklawn Mile Stakes (G3) and was second in the San Pasqual Stakes (G2). He is out of the multiple group 1 winner and millionaire Irridescence, by Caesour, who was honored as South African champion 3-year-old filly for 2005. Irridescence is a full sister to Perfect Promise, who won group 1 stakes in South Africa and Australia. Hopper is consigned by Grovendale Sales as agent.

The remaining supplements are by Awesome Slew  , Catholic Boy  , City of Light  , Into Mischief  , Mitole  , Quality Road  , and Speightstown.

The online catalog for the November Horses of Racing Age Sale features Daily Racing Form and Equibase past performances along with Thoro-graph and Ragozin sheets, race replays and more.

A print catalog for the auction with Equibase past performances for the entrants will be available for pickup at Keeneland as early as Oct. 31.
