Kalpana wins the Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot
Zero Gravity , dam of the brilliant group 1 British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes (G1) winner and current 2025 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1) favorite Kalpana , has been added to the Tattersalls December Mares Sale as a wildcard and will be offered as lot 1485A in the Scepter Sessions Dec. 2.
Zero Gravity is a listed winner herself and a sister to Grand Prix de Paris (G1T) winner Zambezi Sun , from a prolific black-type Juddmonte family. By outstanding broodmare sire Dansili (GB), whose daughters have produced 24 individual group 1 winners, Zero Gravity is offered in foal to Chaldean , the Two Thousand Guineas (G1T) and Dewhurst Stakes (G1T) winner who is a son of the peerless Frankel .
Zero Gravity will be consigned to the Tattersalls December Mares Sale by Ed Player's Whatton Manor Stud, which also consigned her Too Darn Hot filly to Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, where she was purchased by Shadwell Estates for 425,000 guineas (US$582,250).
The Tattersalls December Mares Sale will take place Dec. 2-5, with the Scepter Sessions Monday, Dec. 2, and Tuesday, Dec. 3. The catalog for Europe's premier breeding stock sale numbers 991 lots and can be viewed online at www.tattersalls.com.
