Whiskey Drinker rolls to victory at Remington Park

Once Whiskey Drinker  was allowed to set the pace, the filly owned by Flying B Ranch won by daylight and became the first winner for River Oaks Farms freshman sire Revved Up  .

The Oklahoma-bred bay filly trained by Jayde Gelner won in gate-to-wire fashion by 4 3/4 lengths Nov. 14 in a seven-furlong maiden claiming race at Remington Park. Her victory came in her third career start.

Eureka Thoroughbred Farm bred Whiskey Drinker out of the Keep Up  daughter Emilys Keeper. The mare has produced three foals and Whiskey Drinker is her first starter. Emilys Keeper is a half sister to stakes-placed winner and stakes producer Kiss in the Forest (Forest Wildcat) and grade 2-placed winner Milehigh Butterfly (Sky Mesa  ).

Flying B Ranch bought Whiskey Drinker for $1,200 out of the 2023 Texas Thoroughbred Association Yearling Sale from Eureka Thoroughbred Farm. The filly has now earned $7,319.

Revved Up is a multiple graded-placed winner by Candy Ride   out of 2022 champion 2-year-old filly Storm Flag Flying, who is a daughter of multiple grade 1 winner My Flag and the granddaughter of 1988 champion older mare and 1996 Broodmare of the Year Personal Ensign. As a racehorse, Revved Up raced from 2 to 7 and compiled a 5-4-3 record from 31 starts. He earned $372,524.
