It was announced this week that tickets are now available for Horse Farm Tours taking place on Oct. 25- 28 during the KentuckyOne Health Breeders’ Cup Festival Week in late October.
These tours offer a rare “behind the scenes” look at Kentucky’s iconic farms, world-renowned veterinary clinics and more. Attendees will hear the stories of Breeders’ Cup winners, and meet the sires, dams, sisters and brothers of this year’s Breeders’ Cup runners – and maybe the champions themselves.
“The Thoroughbred farms of Central Kentucky are one of the greatest assets we have, and we’re thrilled to be able to share them with our guests and community during the KentuckyOne Health Breeders’ Cup Festival Week,” said Laura Prewitt, Executive Director of the Breeders’ Cup Festival. “This week is going to be full of great events for our community and visitors.”
Guests will tour two Thoroughbred locations in a one-of-a-kind Breeders’ Cup-focused experience that will also include unique gift bags, exclusive photo ops, and transportation. Tour packages are available for the afternoon of Sunday October 25 and Monday, October 26 – Wednesday, October 28 during the morning and afternoon.
Approximately 3,000 experiences are available. Tickets are $65 for adults and $35 for kids under 12, with a portion of proceeds donated to charitable causes that support the horses, land and people of the Central Kentucky region.
“It is a tremendous honor to welcome the world to Keeneland and the Bluegrass for the 2015 Breeders' Cup. As many of the runners have ties to Kentucky, we look forward to sharing their stories, along with showcasing previous champions, while welcoming guests from all over the world to our farms, clinics, and feed mills," said Price H. Bell, Jr. with Mill Ridge Farm and Nicoma Bloodstock. "We dream of the chance to compete in the Breeders' Cup, and look forward to sharing our passion for these amazing athletes.”
